Bulkley Valley Printers was created in 1999. Dean and Marie Moore bought out See-Moore Printing, owned and operated by Dinty Moore for 27 years prior to 1999. Dinty continues to help out in the plant whenever he can. His years of experience in the printing trade have been passed on to his son Dean, who has been in the printing industry since 1989. The printing industry is an interesting topic with Dinty as he has seen the evolution of this trade from the old letterpress to offset printing and now into the new digital era.
When Bulkley Valley Printers started out in 1999, we had one typesetter and were hand-developing our negatives. Since then we have added three more design/pre-press persons; purchased a high-end direct-to-plate system, automated collator/booklet maker, two digital colour copier/printers and one high-speed black & white digital copier/printer; and installed new presses with state-of-the-art features. To make a long story short, we are completely up to date with the latest technological advances in the industry.
